Designer handbags at Fellows
Following the success of their The Designer Collection auction in April, Fellows is to hold an auction of designer handbags and accessories on Thursday 28th July.
Hermès was the stand out designer of the last auction with an ostrich leather Birkin bag achieving £7,300.
This auction sees the return of another range of Hermès handbags. Excitingly, the Kelly bag joins a number of eye catching Birkin bags in the collection this time.
New designers in the collection include Loewe, celebrating their 170th anniversary this year, to the on trend Victoria Beckham. Other new designers include Chrome Hearts, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin, Paul Smith, Matthew Williamson, Marni, Vivienne Westwood, Loro Piana and Lulu Guinness.
Louis Vuitton is a firm favourite in this auction. The instantly recognisable monogram graces a variety of options from a cosmetics case to a traditional, hard suitcase.
Standing alongside the cult classics comes a renewed wave of colours – from Hermès in shades of apple green to Chanel in bubblegum pink.
Just in time for summer is the collection of luggage. A matching set of three rolling suitcases by Prada is a more modern alternative to the beautiful vintage Louis Vuitton mid-20th century stencilled monogram box trunk.
The types of handbags available are extensive: there are everyday bags to occasional bags, novelty bags for the light-hearted, large and small bags of the same design, luxuriously embellished bags, plain discreet bags to the large, loud and unmissable bags. Customers should keep their eyes peeled for the odd surprise gem such as discontinued and limited edition bags.
However the sale isn’t limited to handbags, the collection features a variety of accessories. Accoutrements such as a pair of Chanel sunglasses or a Hermès belt are the perfect way for those with a smaller budget to experience The Designer Collection. Men can also take advantage of the accessories enjoying a range of wallets, pens and belts from key designers such as Gucci.
