Chippendale talk by Roadshow expert

Regular Antiques Roadshow expert Lennox Cato will be hosting his annual summer event at his showrooms in Edenbridge, Kent this year, with a strong focus on Thomas Chippendale in the tercentenary of the celebrated designer’s birth.

The 300th anniversary has sparked much interest in furniture from the Georgian period, and Lennox will display several pieces from the Chippendale period, including a pair of oval framed carved giltwood mirrors and a stunning mahogany tripod table, attributed to Chippendale.

The table will also be the centre of a talk Lennox will host mid-way through the exhibition on July 4, looking at the life and works of the great master.

The exhibition will also include recently acquired pieces, all set out within the galleries, alongside an accompanying catalogue will be available upon request.
