Dylan Jones collection offers British Cool at Bonhams
A collection of artworks belonging to journalist and author Dylan Jones will be a centrepiece of the upcoming British. Cool. sale taking place at Bonhams this spring in an online sale running from April 7-16.
The Dylan Jones collection includes work from the likes of Damien Hirst and David Hockney, alongside pop culture memorabilia, all collected throughout his career at the helm of many leading cultural titles, including GQ magazine and i-D.

Writing about the sale in Bonhams Magazine, Jones commented: “My work has afforded me amazing access to extraordinary people and places, and along the way I have collected things which reflect that. My collection is a labour of love, which I suppose has inadvertently become a reflection of modern British culture over the last 50 years. Having worked at i-D, The Face, Arena, The Observer, The Sunday Times, GQ and The Evening Standard, I feel I’ve been under the bonnet of British culture for quite some time, and it’s been rewarding to be able to create my own cultural bubble.”

Highlights of the Dylan Jones collection include:
Suzanne Irvine, Bonhams Head of Sale, commented: “This is always such a fun sale and this year promises to be no exception. We’re particularly excited to bring the pieces from Dylan Jones’ collection to auction for the first time. Dylan has always been in the centre of the coolest scenes Britain has to offer, and so British. Cool. and Dylan Jones are a perfect match.”
