Arthur Swallow Fairs celebrates 30 years

One of the leading organisers of antique fairs, Sheffield-based Arthur Swallow Fairs, is celebrating 30 years in the business since its formation in 1995.

The family business, now in its second generation, was founded by Peter Burgoin, an antique jewellery dealer from Sheffield, who hosted the first event in a disused RAF hangar with just 50 dealers. Today, the event organiser hosts some of the UK’s largest and best-loved vintage, salvage, and decorative antiques shopping experiences.

Led today by Peter’s sons, Marc and Richard, alongside Richard’s wife, Anna, they continue to create vibrant events across the country—from fast-paced, one-day markets, to relaxed, three-day boutique shows. With a focus on sustainability, provenance, and affordability, their events offer thousands of treasures for visitors.

The team works hard to create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere, welcoming everyone from interior designers and dealers, to collectors and browsers.

This June, Arthur Swallow Fairs is celebrating its milestone anniversary with the much-anticipated return of the Cheshire Decorative Home & Salvage Show, back after a five-year hiatus, on June 27-29 at the Cheshire Showground. Set against the backdrop of glorious countryside, this three-day event offers an inspiring blend of home and garden shopping, with beautifully curated pieces from top UK and European dealers.
