The BADA Antiques & Fine Art Fair
The showcase for members of the British Antique Dealers’ Association, representing the UK’s leading specialists in the fine and decorative arts. The BADA Fair has an unrivalled reputation for quality and elegance and is located in one of London’s most fashionable districts.
The art and antiques for sale ranges from 16th century works of art to contemporary furniture, all vetted to ensure quality and authenticity. Collectors and first-time buyers alike are attracted from around the world to the BADA Fair at The Duke of York Square, London SW3 from 18–24 March.
Chelsea Antique Fair
The newly-designed floor space at Chelsea Old Town Hall means more exhibitors can offer a wider variety of objects and styles at the Chelsea Antiques Spring Fair which takes place from March 18-22.
The five-day Spring Fair will have more late-night openings, as well as guided tours around the stands, to encourage local residents to get the collecting bug.
Fair organiser, Caroline Penman said: “The distinctive charm of the Chelsea Old Town Hall contributes to the success of the fair, which attracts connoisseurs and collectors of all ages. With price tags ranging from an affordable £50 to exquisite pieces worth thousands of pounds, the boutique-style feel makes this the perfect destination for anyone looking for a great variety of fine art, antiques and design.”
More than 40 specialist dealers have been selected for their expertise in each field, such as silver and jewellery professionals. The fair will support the local charity, Children’s Hospital Trust Fund of which Monarch of the Glen actress Susan Hampshire, who will open the event, is patron.
Cotswolds Decorative Antiques and Fine Art Fair
The great hall and orangery of Westonbirt House will be transformed this month into an Aladdin’s cave for collectors at the Cotswolds Decorative Antiques and Fine Art Fair, near Tetbury from March 27-29.
With everything from antique sewing tools to contemporary British Art on show, the event promises a treasure trove for antique and fine art lovers.
Cooper Events’ Sue Ede said: “‘This is always one of our most popular events of the year. The fair offers a wide variety of interesting and desirable pieces for collectors, home furnishers, interior designers and anyone looking for unusual decorative pieces.”
Country furniture, mid-century modern, art deco as well as ceramics, glass and textiles will all be on show from exhibitors including Scandinavian by Design, Antiques by Design, Paul Burnett, Not Wanted on Voyage and Mere Antiques.
While new exhibitors this year include A Heart of Glass, showing the best of contemporary glass design by artists including Peter Lanyon, Lina Lundberg, Mats Jonasson, Pavel Havelka, Bob Crooks and Allister Malcolm.
The fair will also feature a wide selection of original art including works by Diana Armfield, John Bratby, Reginald Brill, Richard Ewick, Mary Fedden, Sir Terry Frost, Dame Laura Knight and Julian Trevelyan.
