Will bidders fall in love with Rolex Watch

Rolex Oyster Perpetual wristwatchThe lucky bidder who snaps up a gentleman’s 18ct gold Rolex wristwatch will be just in time for Valentine’s Day when it goes under the hammer at a Dorset auction house’s two-day sale on February 14 and 15.

Charterhouse Auction will sell the watch with an estimate of £5,000 to £6,000 in their specialist auction of watches, silver and jewellery, along with a selection of wine, port and whisky.

“Rolex is synonymous with fabulous craftsmanship and quality and this wristwatch will tick the box for many buyers,” commented auctioneer Richard Bromell. “The watch is pretty much in the same condition as the day it was made rather than having been well loved and enjoyed over the years which is rare to see on a watch 20-30 years old.”

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date is in an 18ct gold case and matching gold President bracelet. Coming to auction with its original box, tags and booklet and this model is popular with both ladies and gentlemen and being sold on Valentine’s Day might be a wonderful surprise for someone.

The watch was given to the owner as a token of appreciation. However, he already owned a Rolex, which he enjoyed so never got around to wearing the new Rolex, instead leaving it in its box.
