Smallest house in the Cotswolds to go under the hammer
One of the smallest houses in the Cotswolds is going up for auction this week with a price tag of just £12,000 to £15,000.
The distinctive Wendy house to be sold at Chorley’s auctioneers in Gloucestershire has entertained generations of children at the neighbouring Prinknash Bird and Deer Park
The original Wendy house first appeared in J M Barrie’s 1904 play Peter Pan or the Boy Who Never Grew Up and was built for the character Wendy Darling.
Other top consignments in the sale on September 17 and 18 include a Japanese Arita figure, carrying an estimate of £1,000-1,500; a pair of 17th-century silk court shoes, estimated at £3,000-5000; and an opal and diamond ring, which has expectations of £2,500-3,000.
