Dreweatts launches virtual auction tours
Berkshire auctioneers Dreweatts has launched an online platform to give visitors virtual auction tours of upcoming sales held within its stunning country house saleroom in Donnington Priory.
Entitled ‘Dreweatts 360 Virtual Auction Tours‘, the system has been created in conjunction with CoreLogic UK, a developer of technological solutions in the property industry. The auction house said it provides an “exciting and immersive new way to view auction lots before sale.”
The new service will provide virtual auction tours that allow visitors to enter the front doors of Donnington Priory and take a walk-through tour of the lots showcased in Dreweatts’ salerooms.
Jonathan Pratt, Dreweatts Managing Director, commented, “Auctioneering is one of the oldest professions and the virtual world is one of the newest technologies. To meet the new challenges facing us in today’s world, Dreweatts are combining the two to create a buying experience that is truly 21st century. Dreweatts 360 virtual auction tours from CoreLogic will allow you to walk through the galleries at our picturesque Donnington Priory, browsing and interacting with the lots as you go.
“Alongside our specialists’ advice, online lot listing and page turning e-catalogue, we hope the Dreweatts 360 experience will bring sourcing art and antiques from auctions to life in a safe and engaging way and help our clients, near and far, to imagine easily how pieces they see in our roomsets will transfer beautifully to their own home.”
Stewart Mcrae, Corelogic’s Sales Director, said, “Dreweatts are the first auction house to partner with us and we are delighted to be working with them. It’s situations like we face today, where 3D virtual walk-through tours have a recognised place to keep businesses trading. CoreLogic’s virtual tours will enable Dreweatts to showcase their auction collections online with a truly immersive and engaging digital experience, allowing customers to view auction collections up close, from anywhere.”
