A crucial autumn date for every design and antiques lover’s diary: The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair is returning to its home in Battersea Park for what will be a bumper edition, running from Tuesday 28 September to Sunday 3 October 2021.
Renowned amongst leading decorators the world over as one of the UK’s most exciting and beautiful antiques fair, full of unexpected treasures, the Fair features more than 150 exhibitors, all specialists who offer an enticingly wide variety of objects, furniture, art and accessories dating from the 17th century to the 1970s.
Stands are stylishly presented to provide decorating ideas and inspiration. Regular trade shoppers include Rita Konig, Flora Soames, Olga and Alex Polizzi, Veere Grenney, Nicky Haslam and major players from the States such as Rose Tarlow and Michael Smith.
In the past year there has been an explosion of interest in antiques and vintage 20th-century designs – the ultimate in chic sustainable interiors – as an essential component in comfortable, treasured decoration for the home.
The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair offers every element to create a layered story, from glass-fronted cabinets for displaying pottery and tableware, to pretty and practical textiles; decorative and fine art and sculpture of all periods; cosseting upholstered seating and traditional chests of drawers; country wood-ware and occasional tables to sleek deco sideboards and lighting; weathered garden antiques and surprising objects. Every period and style can be found.
