Century of classic motorcyles in sale
Classic and vintage motorcycles from over the past 100 years will be presented for sale in a specialist motorbike auction at Dorset auction house Charterhouse on October 5.
The earliest bike in the auction is a 1925 Douglas TS. From a collector in Wales, this early bike is estimated at £6,000-7,000.
Moving forward to the 21st century, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, made into a Bobber in 2015, is ready to hit the road with an estimate of £8,500-9,500.
The auctionis being held at the Haynes International Motor Museum.
“There is a fabulous selection of motorbikes from most decades over the past 100 years,” commented auctioneer Richard Bromell. “There are show bikes, race bikes, restoration projects and daily riders with estimates from under £1,000 to £30,000.”
