Bonhams has signed a three-year partnership with the world-famous Wallace Collection. The two organisations have long and distinguished histories and the partnership builds on their existing strong relationship and commitment to the fine and decorative arts.
Among other initiatives, Bonhams and the Wallace Collection will host joint events to coincide with the auction house’s biannual series of Classics Sales and Bonhams will be sponsoring the Wallace Collection’s Seminars in the History of Collecting series, under the heading History of Collecting: Supported by Bonhams.
Nette Megens, Bonhams Director Decorative Arts, Europe and UK, said: “The Wallace Collection is an outstanding and much-admired institution. It combines accessibility, love of the arts and academic excellence – qualities which we at Bonhams share. We are delighted to be joining the Wallace Collection’s distinguished list of partners and to be working together to secure the future of the decorative arts for the next generation.”
Sarah Harmer, Director of Development at the Wallace Collection, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Bonhams, which has shown its commitment to this key area of research at the Collection by sponsoring our seminar series. The History of Collecting series at the Wallace Collection takes place once a month and offers a completely free resource for anyone interested in learning more about this fascinating and diverse field. We know the seminars will continue to thrive and reach new audiences with the support of Bonhams.”
