CADA reveals Face of the Fair

The eighth annual Cotswolds Art and Antique Dealers’ Association (CADA) Fair will use the portrait of a 17th-century woman as the ‘Face of the Fair’.

Catherine Hunt, CADA Fair Director, says; ‘each year, we like to use a portrait of a woman as the ‘Face of the Fair’. The image we have chosen this year is ‘Portrait of a Lady’ by Circle of Dirck Van Santvoort, a fine and elegant example of a Golden Age painting from a Dutch master and available from Trinity House Paintings, specialists in impressionist, post-impressionist, modern British and 19th-century paintings.

The event will take place at Blenheim Palace from February 21 to 24. It is the only antiques fair to take place at Blenheim Palace, home to the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, in the beautiful Colonnade, Orangery and Campaign Rooms, overlooking the Italian Gardens.

Patron of the Association and Fair – and CADA member – is Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill, sister of the present Duke. Since its inception,the CADA Fair has gone from strength to strength, cultivating a following of collectors, art consultants, interior designers and the public alike, making it a ‘must-visit’ destination.

The very best of each discipline is represented, including furniture, pictures, silver, early needlework and antique boxes, sculpture, bronze, clocks and barometers, carpets and textiles, glass, jewellery, English and Oriental ceramics, antiquarian and rare books, garden ornaments and statuary, as well as other decorative items. All works are for sale, with prices ranging from £100 to upwards of £100,000.
