Beswick set to bring in the bidders
The Charterhouse two day auction on 21st & 22nd May includes a specialist section of the very collectible Beswick china figures.
“We are one of only a few auctioneers who sell Beswick in specialist auctions.” Commented self-confessed Beswick buff Naomi Grabham. “Selling Beswick in these specialist sales results in more collectors attending either in person or bidding via the internet as there is always such a great selection of Beswick under the hammer.”
Already entered into this auction is a great selection of Beswick from a Lancashire collector which includes rare rocking horse grey mares, HM The Queen and Prince Philip, Canadian Mounty and many other figures which are estimated to sell for thousands of pounds. However, it is a walking race horse with a jockey up in a chestnut colour, which is possibly a unique Beswick commission being sold for a client near Tunbridge Wells, which is the star lot estimated at £1,200-1,800.
“Although we are based in Sherborne, Dorset, our specialist auctions have such a strong following that we receive instructions from all around the UK and not just within a 50 mile radius.” Commented Naomi Grabham. “Which is why we have been instructed to auction these collections from Tunbridge Wells up to Lancashire.”
