The founders and owners of the ‘Antique Young Guns’ organisation, Mark Hill (right), Gail McLeod and George Johnson, are stepping back from the successful enterprise to allow its members to run it.
The chairman of the new ‘Antique Young Guns’ committee has been named as 22 year old Joseph Trinder (left), auctioneer and valuer at Wotton Auctions Rooms in Gloucestershire and vice chairman of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers.
Other members of the organisation are Antique Collecting columnist Edd Thomas of EddintheClouds Antiques, Jason Clarke of Jason Clarke Antiques, James Gooch of Doe & Hope Antiques and Tim Medhurst of Duke’s Auctioneers.
The official handover of the organisation to the membership is due to take place on November at Antiques for Everyone at Birmingham’s NEC.
The next Antiques Young Gun of the Year award is set to be announced in April 2016 at the spring Battersea Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair.
