Return of Oxfordshire fair
The first Antiques@TheHolt of 2016 takes place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th March.
Now into its third year, this bi-annual fair is established as a key event for antiques collectors in Oxfordshire and the surrounding area.
Martin Cox, of Cox & Pierce Antiques, will be displaying some fine period furniture, as well as antique boxes and woodenwares, including writing slopes, vanity cases, caddies and cabinets. Jenny Seaborn, who specialises in Victorian and early/mid-20th century glass, will offer pieces from the classic French glassworks of Daum, Gallé and Lalique.
Offering a range of ceramics from perennial favourites like Moorcroft and Troika, with a smattering of silver, will be Marilyn Arrigoni. All are making their first appearances at The Holt, while Roy Furniss (fine silver), Peter & Janet Herbert (classic jewellery) and David King (early English glass) return after missing the last fair.
The majority of dealers are regulars who are always keen to bring fresh and interesting stock. These include Paul & Judy Norman from Cropredy (furniture, ceramics & glasswares), Dittany Morgan (English porcelain), Mike Collier (postcards) and Peter Forbes (architectural metalwares). Almost all are based nearby, perpetuating the ethos that Antiques@TheHolt is essentially a fair created by local dealers for local collectors, but accessible to everyone.
