Expert brings sparkling romance to Tennants

Well known for his appearances on the ever-popular BBC television programme, Antiques Roadshow, Tennants Auctioneers will welcome lecturer, broadcaster and jewellery expert, John Benjamin.

John will give his illustrated talk, ‘Romancing the Stone, on Tuesday 24th May, which will highlight key pieces of fine jewellery worn by some of the world’s most glamorous people.

Having worked in the antiques trade from a very young age, John is now a leading specialist in the jewellery world.  In 2003 he published his first book Starting to collect Antique Jewellery and in 2005 he co-authored with Paul Atterbury, The Jewellery and Silver of H G Murphy.

Lecturing extensively in Britain, Europe and America to the corporate and private sectors on a diverse range of jewellery-related topics, John will also discuss his incredible career and his favourite memories from his time on BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, taking the audience on a journey through the highs and lows of this often glamorous world.
