The Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association’s (ABA) flagship summer book fair, which takes place next month at Olympia from June 1-3, will be moving to the new home of Battersea Evolution for next year’s event between 24-16 May 2018.
The fair, which will celebrate its diamond jubilee in 2018, has become firmly established on the international calendar and has been held at Olympia since 1998. This year will be its twentieth at the venue.
The ABA says that they are confident that visitors and exhibitors alike will appreciate the ease of access, and beautiful parkland surroundings, of the new location. The venue is close to Chelsea (a shuttle bus will run from Sloane Square tube, taking just 5 minutes) and the attractive venue is already well known for art, antique and photography fairs.
With over 150 of the world’s leading booksellers exhibiting annually, Evolution provides the larger venue the ABA says it needs to consolidate the UK’s position as the hub of the international trade in rare books.
