Launch of Tribal Art London
Model and artist’s muse Laurence Sessou aka ‘Moniasse’ is helping to launch Tribal Art London, which runs from September 6-9 at the Mall Galleries in London.
Taking the form of an Art Fair, Tribal Art London invites a select group of 18 respected dealers and experts to display quality ethnographic art from Africa, Oceania and the Americas.
Tribal art is often ceremonial or religious in nature and pieces on display will range from shields, masks, figures, costumes, textiles and jewellery, to furniture and household items as well as ethnographic photographs.
A series of lectures will also take place during the exhibition.
