Flea is going virtual

Weekly market Flea at Vinegar Yard is beating the lockdown by taking the market online every Saturday. The market, which normally takes place every Saturday and Sunday at Vinegar Yard in London Bridge, is giving its vibrant community of traders and loyal customers the chance to browse through a carefully-curated selection of vintage and handmade wares.

Participating traders are selling clothing, jewellery, ceramics, art, antiquarian books, furniture and more every Saturday morning from 11am in Flea London’s Instagram Stories.

Each weekend will see a brand-new selection of goods, and anyone wishing to buy will be able to contact the trader directly through Instagram.

Market curator, Christian Scrimgeour, said, “We have an incredible community of traders and customers and this seemed like a great way to bring us all together and support small, independent traders, many of whom are struggling during the lockdown.”
