Arthur Swallow holds virtual Christmas fair
Fairs and events organiser Arthur Swallow Fairs is to hold an online Christmas Decorative & Salvage Show during the current lockdown, running from November 28 and 29.
Like their events during the last lockdown earlier in the year, their aim is to support the trade by keeping dealers visible and creating opportunities to sell. The event will be a weekend-long festive spectacular which also include lots of LIVE Insta talks and tips for both buyers and sellers in the run up to and during the event.
The show will take place on the event organiser’s Instagram account and on their website, giving those without Instagram access the event, alongside offering sellers an additional trading platform.
A variety of dealers are lined up to take part in the virtual fair, including Chris Holmes Antiques, Tallboy Interiors, West Wales Antiques, Retrovation, Nook Antiques, Chris Charles Reclamation, Cunningham Whites, John Read-Smith, Mews Emporium, Monkey & Bird, Paul Drewett Decorative, Brocante Decorative, Hand of Glory Antiques, and Catherine Waters Antiques.
Alice Roberton of Arthur Swallow Fairs commented: “The first lockdown brought about a need to help keep antique, vintage and salvage dealers visible and trading, something we did with great commitment. At the point we launched our first event no one had ever hosted or taken part in an Insta event before and we were all on a steep learning curve – organisers and exhibitors alike – this time we know what we’re doing so we’re aiming for bigger and better. It’s very exciting indeed! Do join us to shop from an incredible range of independent businesses and support a trade which is part of our rich British heritage.”
