Suffolk dealer holds Christmas Selling Exhibition

Suffolk antiques dealer, Andrew Singleton, of Suffolk House Antiques is to host his annual ‘Christmas Selling Exhibition‘, which will include some 80 pieces of early furniture and associated art, from December 5 to 19.

With pieces ranging from  the 14th to 19th centuries, Andrew said the items selected all have an accent on colour and patination.

Some of the standout pieces in this year’s exhibition includes a Charles II fruitwood and oak chest of drawers.

Elsewhere, a rare 17th-century primitive oak table and a late-Georgian elm comb back chair look set to generate interest.

While an online catalogue to accompany the exhibition will go live a couple of weeks before its start, Stephen is currently planning to open his shop to welcome visitors. He said, “I am hoping that I will be able to have my shop open again by then. Fortunately my gallery is large with seven separate rooms spread over two floors so social distancing should not be a problem and visitors will have to wear masks.”
