New owner for Lomax Antique Fairs

Suffolk furniture dealer Anthony Keer of Keer Antiques has acquired Lomax Antique Fairs Ltd., organisers of the prestigious Southwold Easter Antiques Fair and Southwold Summer Antiques Fair that take place in the popular Suffolk seaside town each year.

This prestigious fair, founded in 1993 by Norfolk dealer Liz Allport-Lomax, has long held a reputation for high-quality, stand-fitted dealers. Anthony, who has been in the trade for over thirty years, is a regular stand holder, and has been heavily involved in the running of Lomax Fairs in recent years. With the retirement of the previous owner, art-dealer John Harbottle, he was delighted to have the opportunity to take the helm.

Anthony said: “My aim is to further the excellent reputation of these fairs through social media and wider advertising, combined with the acquisition of quality dealers and new East Anglian venues, to steadily grow this business.”

He will run the company with the help of his wife and four adult sons. The forthcoming Easter fair will be held at St. Felix School in Southwold on April 7-9, promising a wide range of interesting antiques and fine art, including clocks, jewellery, and furniture.
