Change of date for Buxton Antiques Fair

A selection of antiques from Buxton Antiques FairThe annual Buxton Antiques Fair, which was due to take place on May 17-29, has now been rescheduled for September 13-16, the fair’s organisers Cooper Events has announced.

The change of date is due to ongoing refurbishment work on the Octagon Building in the Pavilion Gardens in the heart of Buxton in Derbyshire.

Sue Ede of Cooper Events said, “For the past two years while the venue was being refurbished we have held the fair in a marquee situated adjacent to the Pavilion complex. Our exhibitors and visitors were expecting to move back into the familiar surroundings of the Octagon building with its promised redecoration. Now, due to the overrun of the work, we must reschedule. After much careful consideration, we have chosen 13-16 September.”

The rescheduled fair will bring together some 45 exhibitors showing a wide range of traditional antiques, fine art, jewellery and decorative items, alongside collectors pieces, contemporary art and sculpture.
